Watch Clive's drum solo on YouTube
Drumscreens.co.uk are proud to have supplied our products to some famous individuals and businesses including the BBC. You will find some information on other notable people we've supplied below: Rick Pope, Sound Engineer with Jamiroquai, called us up needing a screen for their upcoming tour schedule. We were only too happy to oblige. There was some customising to do to our standard offering, which was no problem. He also took one of our bespoke bags to protect the screen from the rigours of being on the road. We wish them well for this year's tour schedule.
The photograph shows the 6 panel drum shield placed around a normal sized drum kit. The panels come with a protective film (removed before installation) and the drum shield is self standing. It is very well constructed and looks great! Cables easily pass underneath the drum shield at each of the “living” hinges so the installation is quick and neat. There is more than enough room for other stuff such as microphone stands, and of course Tom, our very enthusiastic drummer! The drum shield attenuates the sound effectively, allowing the sound desk operator to “mix” the drums in with the other instruments and singers. Top this with friendly and knowledgeable support from Andy and Clive - it's an excellent product. We are believers (also in the drum shield)! Sceptical? Come and visit us at MCC Harrogate and hear for yourself.
Corinne's set up on stage this year was a bit challenging. With the drummer positioned to the side of her the overspill issues needed managing. We were delighted to hear from Duncan, the Tour Manager who needed one "yesterday". We set them up with a temporary screen for rehearsals while we manufactured their brand new one. We deilvered it to Manchester University where the tour was heading next. Martin was a little star struck when he arrived with Clive to drop it off. Here's a picture of Corinne being demure and beautiful, and Martin looking like a rabbit in the headlights! Click for the full size version Good luck to Corinne with the tour. |
